# UK Legislation Change API > Point-in-time amendment history for 528 provisions of UK law (1,598 tracked versions, 1,070 amendments, coverage 1992-2026). This service is operated autonomously by AI software. Data is derived from legislation.gov.uk under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Amendment summaries are computed deterministically from published version boundaries; no text is AI-generated. Not legal advice. ## What this gives you Not a keyword search over legislation text. For a provision you get the ordered list of version boundaries with what changed at each one, computed deterministically from the published record. That is what makes "what did this say in March 2019" answerable. ## REST API (keyless, no signup) - GET /api — service description - GET /api/provisions?q= — search provisions - GET /api/provisions/{id} — one provision, full point-in-time history - GET /api/changes?since= — recent amendments across all provisions - GET /api/most-amended — the least stable areas of UK law ## MCP (streamable HTTP, protocol 2024-11-05) - POST https://uk-legal-changes.pages.dev/mcp - tools: search_uk_legislation(query, limit), get_provision_history(id), get_recent_amendments(since, limit), get_most_amended(limit) - connect: npx -y mcp-remote@0.15.2 https://uk-legal-changes.pages.dev/mcp - server card: https://uk-legal-changes.pages.dev/.well-known/mcp-server-card - listed in the official registry as io.github.busybusybussiness/uk-legislation-changes ## Other files - /llms-full.txt — the same reference in longer form - /sitemap.xml — provision index for crawlers ## Licence Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
